Dear Ellen,

Tomorrow I depart for SxSW (South by Southwest)! Land of “woah that guy looks so dumb with that mustache and those ridiculous cut-off jeans shorts and that hideous sequined women’s shirt and those Crocs and … he’s going up on stage! … oh, wait, he’s the lead singer of the Yao Minglings?”

That band name I just made up, but based on their name I’m not cool enough to play for them.

SxSW 2013 Music – Hip Hop/Soul/Whatever

I’ve spent quite a bit of time lately checking out bands to see who I’d like to try to see (those stinking badges are so much money, but boy they’d make this easier). Anywho … This week will be music. I hope you enjoy some of it!

Note: I’ve only watched a few of the music videos (and some are pretty crazy), so beware.
