Australia Ellen DeGeneres postcard Twelve Apostles

The text of the postcard is

Dear Ellen,

Those are the Twelve Apostles. It’s a very beautiful sight in Australia.

This picture captures them nicely, and shows people enjoying their beauty.

But what’s sad is one guy standing there is thinking, “hey Twelve Apostles … rock on.” Then a little smirk. Then his girlfriend notices the smirk and says, “hey! rock it off …”

Too punny, right?

Sincerely,

Weird Things I Saw in Australia

australia sign fatigue driving

There were LOTS of signs like this along the road from Sydney to Melbourne. Apparently drivers being sleepy is a real problem, so they have a number of different signs emphasizing that you just chill out and take a nap.

kangaroo road sign australia

How cool is that!? It’s like the U.S. equivalent of signs for deer. Also, I saw kangaroo road kill! Which was a mix of sadness and oh-dude-kangaroo-roadkill!!!-ness.

australia road sign funny

There were a number of these signs … Are that many people driving around Australia, unaware until they hit this sign? That’s a frightening concept, because this was in the middle of nowhere.

australia twelve apostles evil wizard

With the beautiful backdrop of the twelve apostles, how could I not pretend I was some sort of evil wizard?

The text of the postcard is

Dear Ellen,

You would think, based on how colorful and happy this train looks, that it would be full of FREE CANDY! But nope. That may explain this little anecdote:

The train ride was a few hours long. It ambled along, and you just sat there and enjoyed how beautiful the scenery was. I really enjoyed it. Behind my friend and I, a teenage girl was less enthused. “If I ever have to do this again I’ll shoot myself.”

Why so dramatic, teen?

Oh, duh, it’s the misleading candy train that lacks candy.

Sincerely,
DumbFunnery.com

P.S. Have I mentioned … candy?

Why am I doing this?
